Safia Jilani ’13 named Outstanding Teaching Assistant at Georgetown

Safia Jilani 13 has been honored with an Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award from the Georgetown University Department of Chemistry. She is studying electrocatalysis and pursuing a Ph.D. in Dr. YuYe Tong's research group on the Washington, D.C. campus.

Safia currently serves as the vice president of the Graduate Student Organization of Chemistry (GSOC) at Georgetown. She won an Espencheid Fellowship for Summer 2015 and recently presented at the 2017 American Chemical Society National Meeting. While on Dominican's campus, Safia was a chemistry lab assistant and chemistry tutor.
