¡Bienvenido a Casa!

Welcome to our house!

Dominican University prepares students to pursue truth, give compassionate service, and participate in the creation of a more just and humane world. Founded in 1901 at St. Clara College in Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, home of the Sinsinawa Dominicans Sisters, the university began as a women’s college under the values that guide the university today—rigorous education, encouraging diversity of thought, a commitment to social justice, and mentoring of students to enable them to make a positive difference in the world. The university offers degrees in the Rosary College of Arts and Sciences, Brennan School of Business, College of Applied Social Sciences and College of Health Sciences.  In the 2017 “America’s Best Colleges,” U.S. News & World Report ranked Dominican in the top 20 of Midwest master’s level universities. Of the university’s 3,600 students, 57% incoming freshmen are the first generation in their family to attend college.  In 2012, the Education Trust ranked Dominican 6th in the nation of private institutions that are top graduation rate gap closers for Hispanic students. Dominican is one of only two, four-year Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs) in the Midwest.

Dominican University’s scenic main campus rests on 37 wooded acres in suburban River Forest, Illinois minutes from downtown Chicago and easily accessible from both O’Hare and Midway airports.

Housing for the conference will be provided in Murray Hall which opened in January 2004 and features single rooms and double-room clusters (two double rooms sharing a common bath) and suite style accommodations.   Student leaders will be housed in double-rooms. The building has central air conditioning, which can be controlled in each room and all floors are accessible by elevator.
